Founded in 2003 as an aftermarket turboexpander services provider, L.A. Turbine (LAT) has evolved into a leading OEM turbomachinery engineering, manufacturing & service company providing application-specific turboexpander equipment used in hydrocarbon processing, geothermal power generation, industrial gas, power-recovery and cryogenic applications.
LAT turboexpander compressor, dyno, generator and other specialized configurations are designed, engineered and built in Valencia, California.
The company continues to provide comprehensive aftermarket support through its FX-TURBO Team of turboexpander specialists.
Services include on-call troubleshooting, turboexpander repair, redesign/overhaul, maintenance, and spare part production for LAT and non-OEM turbomachinery installed worldwide.
Expanders are widely utilized in cryogenic processing and adding LAT to Chart's portfolio further enhances Chart's comprehensive “one stop shop” solution across multiple applications.
Configurations include expander-compressors with active magnetic bearings (AMB) or oil bearings, expander-dyno (oil brake), generator and specialized designs.
We are turboexpander specialists, not generalists, with a focus on design, reliability, performance and service. We are a total solution provider with in-house capabilities to design, fabricate, assemble, test and repair any turboexpander brand in the market.
LAT directs and controls the entire manufacturing process from design to machine-ready certification. This ensures quality products, on time delivery and pricing control. Only we hold this unique position within the turboexpander manufacturing and service industry.
LAT is committed to providing exceptional service and exceeding customer expectations. LAT personnel are easily accessed, responsive and knowledgeable problem-solvers who deliver high-quality, cost-effective turboexpander solutions. We seek to establish long-term relationships with clients—ideally a partnership for life!
Best-in-class engineering and manufacturing teams apply experience from a broad spectrum of backgrounds to deliver innovative thinking on turboexpander design, problems & production. The ARES AMB featuring the industry’s first on skid controller, bears testament to the company's ability to rethink turboexpanders.
Keep your finger on the pulse of L.A. Turbine news, upcoming events and articles.
Extend performance and gain revenue with proactive attention to turboexpander wellness. LAT's aftermarket services are second to none.
